We Belong Here: The Gutierrez Collection

We Belong Here: The Gutierrez Collection is the first public exhibition of the contemporary art collection from North Carolina–based collectors Onay Gutierrez and Jeff Childers. The show features over 40 works created in the 21st century by over 40 international contemporary artists. Their collection reflects on ideas around mental health; LGBTQ rights; Latin/Latinx, African, and African Diasporic identities; as well as broader explorations of activism, protest, and civil disobedience.

Art of the Review is a project dedicated to reigniting the spark, excitement, and inspiration that comes from seeing art exhibitions in person. The series incorporates photography, collage, found poetry, and animation to create visual reviews of opening receptions at contemporary art museums and festivals in the Southeast.
