Femininity in the Raw
Femininity in the Raw is a visual reflection of what it means to be both a woman and an artist in the Winston-Salem community. This pop-up exhibition hosted by ArtWSNC and Kristin Minotti featured six women artists of color and was held at KLEUR, a lifestyle + supply artisan boutique, in 2018.
The project was funded by the Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.
This mixed-media series took a creative spin on photographic portraiture by incorporating the artist's individual style into the final product.
Featured artists: Eliana Rodriguez, Søren Daum, Sherri Peterson, Waceline Cius, Latisa Adele Tatum, and Dulce Stitch Rivas
ArtWSNC
ArtWSNC was a project that began in 2015, while I was a student at Salem College, designed to promote and encourage student artists in the area through networking and social media outreach.
The project worked to create a space for student artists to display their work and network with local galleries by providing a digital platform for them to establish their identity as an artist in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
ArtWSNC ended in 2018, shortly after the de-installation of Femininity in the Raw.
